IT IS TIME FOR US TO DEMAND REAL CHANGE
Our community is in pain and we have the obligation and resources to help. As lawyers, judges, and legal professionals, we have the ability to address racial biases and systemic racism that plague the justice system. We must lead the way and be an example for those in our community who look to us for leadership.
To influence meaningful change, we must amplify our efforts to examine the systems and laws that have historically perpetuated

injustices against Black people. We must raise our voices, even louder, to speak out against those injustices and demand reform not only in police departments but also in every corner of the criminal justice system. We must take concerted and specific actions to raise awareness and compel fundamental changes.
Langston is committed to working with business and civic leaders, community organizations, and interested citizens that want to advocate for and develop tangible solutions to challenge all injustices. In the next few weeks, we will be sharing information and programs towards this end.
This is a call to action for all of us to do more, get engaged, speak up, and to be part of the solution, right now. I encourage you to get involved and have your voice heard.
Together we can make a difference! Together we can heal!
