Great leadership is an important factor in making an organization successful. As Langston shifts and grows, so does its leadership. To that end, I am pleased to announce that the Langston Bar Board of Directors has appointed two new officers to its Executive Board effective immediately.
Stephen King will serve as 2021 Vice President and John Mathews will serve as 2021 Parliamentarian. Both of these accomplished attorneys have served on the Board

and have been active in the Langston community for years. Stephen will also continue to serve in his role as Chair of the Criminal Law Committee and John will continue to serve in his role as Chair of the Civil Rights Committee. I am excited that their continued service to Langston will not only uphold the impressive legacy of Langston’s past, but also ensure that its future remains bright.
In addition, a special election will take place at the membership meeting on April 6th at 6:00pm to elect a new President-Elect for 2021. Information for the membership meeting is below. Only paid current members can vote, so please make sure your membership dues are up to date prior to the meeting. This meeting will also give members an opportunity to network and catch up. I look forward to seeing you there.
Nyanza Shaw, Esq.
President, John M. Langston Bar Association
