Young Lawyers

Description

The purpose of the John M. Langston Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) is to create an educational, professional and social network for Black law students and attorneys in hopes of enhancing the visibility of Black attorneys in the Los Angeles area and facilitating connections for employment, referrals and mentorship.  The YLC executes its mission through targeted social and educational events with seasoned and legendary lawyers and judges in hopes of supporting and serving our members during the critical early years of their legal careers.

A "young lawyer" is generally defined as an attorney who (a) is 35 years of age or younger or (b) was admitted to practice law ten years ago or less.
