Cheyenne Smith

Cheyenne Smith is a second-year law student at UCLA School of Law as a Distinguished Scholar and member of the Critical Race Studies Specialization. Cheyenne is proud to serve as Cochair of the Black Law Students Association and is a dedicated member of the Womxn of Color Collective, OutLaw, and First-Generation Law Students Society. Her 1L summer internship was with the ACLU as an intern with the Reproductive Justice and LGBTQ+ Project which was fulfilling work. Cheyenne is from Pasadena, California and holds a degree in Political Science from Tulane University, where she was a Posse Scholar and minored in Philosophy and Spanish. Before coming to law school Cheyenne was paralegal and an elementary school educator. Aside from her academics and extracurricular activities, Cheyenne also has a love for gardening, volunteering with kids, baking, and roller skating. Cheyenne aspires to be a transactional attorney after graduation and has accepted an offer to become a summer associate with Weil Gotshal & Manges in their New York office for Summer of 2024. Cheyenne has a long-term goal of becoming a law professor.
