Mariah Michelle Comer
Cornell Law School
Mariah Comer is from Santa Ana, CA and is the first person in her family to attend college and law school. She attended UCLA for undergrad where she majored in both Political Science and African American Studies with a minor in Education. At UCLA, Mariah participated in various programs where she mentored high school students of color to pursue a college degree. Additionally, she was heavily involved in UCLA’s Black Pre-Law Association where she served as Vice President and Resource Coordinator of the organization. Now, Mariah is graduating from Cornell Law School in Ithaca, NY. At Cornell, Mariah continued her passion for mentoring students and helped develop the Diversity Matters Outreach Program which provided guidance for college students of color interested in attending law school. Furthermore, Mariah held leadership roles in Cornell’s Black Law Student Association as Vice President and Programming Coordinator. During Mariah’s 3L year at Cornell, she was awarded with the Langston Bar Association Scholarship and is extremely grateful for Langston’s care and generosity throughout her time in law school.
